Magic is likely to happen when passion and creativity combine with inspired thinking. In the world of home design this can lead to the creation of a gorgeous home that just may be the epitome of your hopes and dreams and become your forever home.
Such is the case with the Three Birds Dream Home. I was lucky enough to attend a tour of the house last weekend and in this post I'll share all the beautiful features the home has to offer. If you’re in the market for a new home and Coastal Hamptons inspired style is your ideal look then this could be the home for you.
Front facade and garden
Lush gardens, palm trees and a very inviting fire pit greet you upon entering the property and immediately convey that sense of being on holidays.
Entrance
Walking through the front door, I entered a large welcoming space adorned with a feature, sculptural staircase, inbuilt window seat and beautiful accessories. The scene is set for what is to come from the rest of the house!
Dining, Kitchen and Pantry
As the heart of the home, the kitchen and dining room have been designed to be open and welcoming. The space would comfortably accomodate gatherings of family and friends. The kitchen is light and spacious with stone benchtops and splashback, a beautiful curved island, butler’s sink and brass tapware.
Bar and Patio
The perfect feature to ensure your guests always have a beverage on hand! Situated next to the barbecue patio and near the kitchen, the bar features an under bench wine fridge, sink and storage.
Lounge room
The lounge room or, as it’s known in this dream home, the ‘great room’ is great for a good reason! Featuring a double height ceiling with a huge expanse of glazing, the room feels cathedral like with its sense of opulence and grandeur. The double height windows allow sunlight to stream in ensuring the room is bright and airy.
Master Bedroom
Retreat. Calming. Spacious. In other words, a sanctuary for the adults. This room featured a large bed area, a built in wardrobe/dressing room and a lounge space with sumptuous lounge chairs. The ensuite felt more like a day spa with the marble tiling, centred bath tub, skylight, inbuilt vanity, double sinks and shower and toilet cubicles.
Kid’s bedrooms
Beautifully styled with inbuilt desks and wardrobes, the bedrooms are bright and spacious.
Media room
Double french doors open to this large, comfortable and inviting space. Bring on the movie nights!
Bathroom
Elegantly designed with a soft colour palette. I loved the coastal touches such as the wall sconce, timber stool and rattan shelving. The curved shower wall is organic and beautifully tiled. The bath deep and near the window.
Laundry and Powder Room
Fresh, bright and spacious. The laundry would entice anybody to drop everything and do their washing!
The powder room is next level. Wallpapered with a taupe tri-stripe print, marble look tiled floors, featuring a wide vanity and an elegant light pendant it harks to Hollywood glamour.
To conclude, the Dream Home is truly stunning. Light filled, white walled and perfect features. It's a house you'd love to come home to.
Design Tip
White paint creates the perfect backdrop to your design features when creating a coastal inspired home.. Placing artwork, ceramics, mirrors and fabrics in front of white allows them to shine and draw your attention.
