Styling your home for summer

Summer is not too far away and we're dreaming of lazy backyard days, barbecues, entertaining family and friends, holidays and maybe sipping a cocktail by the pool. Now is a great time to ready our homes before the weather really heats up.

Take inspiration from these tips to make your home look and feel like you're on vacation.

1. Front entrance

The large scale artwork immediately captures your eye, the cushions, hat, towel and thongs convey a sense that summer is here and it's time to relax and enjoy the season.

2. Freshen up the cushions

Swapping out dark coloured and heavily textured cushions for ones with lighter coloured fabrics in cotton or linen is an easy way to bring in the summer vibes.

Depending on your interior scheme, there are different options of cushions to choose from.

Hamptons

The freshness of a blue and white scheme hails summer and entertainment. If you have light coloured sofas, white, grey or pale blue then adding cushions with ikat print or french ticking stripes will inject a lovely classical look.
