What is organic opulence? When I created this mood board I had in mind a bathroom that centred around wellness and also was stylish and a bit indulgent.
The descriptive words that came to mind are:
Earthy | Luxe | Sanctuary | Indulgent | Vibrant
…everything a bathroom should be...in my opinion :)
Earthy: Olive tones, nature inspired
The olive green tones link to nature and relate to our affinity with flora, transporting the bather to rainforest memories of indulgent retreats. Whether we escape on holidays to overseas jungle destinations or afternoons spent at the local park, our love for greenery inspires us to mimic these environments in our homes.
Luxe: Copper tones
While green is soothing, the addition of copper tones brings a touch of opulence and luxury to the design. Copper is a warm and rich metallic colour that can add a sense of style to a space. Copper elements can be used in fixtures and accents, such as the basin, tap ware, hinges and towel rails and hooks. Copper coloured textural elements such as towels and linen elevate the overall aesthetic.
Sanctuary: Wellness Focus
This mood board centres around wellness with the features and colours promoting relaxation and well-being. I have included spa-like features such as a deep soaking tub, the linen bath robe, natural hand wash, a cotton towel and a luxurious bath mat. Also add greenery for the link to nature.
Indulgent and Vibrant
Adding a contrasting element in a bathroom creates visual vibrancy. The element could be in the form of a feature tile, a framed shower screen, a unique sink or vanity or a smaller item such as the tap or cabinetry handle.
